Reconciliation

Australia’s culture has been through many changes through its short history, with Indigenous and non-Indigenous people at times struggling to co-exist.

In the 21st century Australians are working to become a strongly reconciled, united population, comprising of people from diverse cultural groups who can celebrate their individuality as well as their similarities.

Following the National Apology on 13 February 2008, reconciliation has become the focus for Australian government, industry and community. It is up to all of us to work toward a better Australia, and PALS gives young people the opportunity to make their own contribution toward reconciliation.
