Department of Education

The Department of Education, and in particular the Aboriginal Education and Training Directorate, supports the PALS program because it encourages students in Western Australian schools to improve their knowledge of and actively get involved in reconciliation issues. This will ultimately improve the possibility of further reconciliation throughout the community.

It is widely acknowledged that formal education is the key to a successful future in which students will make a significant and positive contribution to society. Formal education begins at school.

The Department of Education provides comprehensive school education for more than 250,000 students in 770 schools spread across Australia’s largest State.
