David Chesson

David Chesson most recently worked as the Indigenous Development Officer for the City of Fremantle for the past four years. His role was to implement the City of Fremantle policy for Respect, Recognition and Conciliation with Aboriginal people and initiate and manage community development projects. 

David also has experience working in the media industry, having worked as a casual lecturer (media) at Central TAFE WA, station manager for Wangki Yupurnanupurra Radio Aboriginal Corporation, director for Red Ochre Enterprises, audio production/musical director for Yirra Yaakin Nyoongar Theatre and broadcaster/technical for the ABC.  David is a committee member for Coalition of Peoples Inc, Indigenous NRM Advisory Group and WA Indigenous Filmmakers Group, and a former committee member of the Yirra Yaakin Aboriginal Theatre Company.
